Palestinian protesters clashed with Israeli forces in the West Bank city of Ramallah yesterday (Friday), on the tenth ‘Friday of Rage’ protest over US President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
Protesters hurled rocks at Israeli forces before being repelled back under a volley of tear gas.
Palestinian factions had earlier called for a ‘Day of Rage’ after the conclusion of Friday prayers, the tenth since Trump’s decision.
One must wonder, how can anything be solved with rage?
57 Palestinians were reportedly injured, one severely, on Friday amid clashes between Israeli forces and protesters along the Gaza border and in the West Bank on the latest ‘Day of Rage’ to be called by Islamist Hamas in response to the killing of one of its militants suspected of gunning down an Israeli rabbi last month.
Last month it was reported that the Palestinian Authorities (PA) spent 1.2 billion shekels promoting terrorism in 2017.
