It is claimed by a former aid boss at the UN, Professor Andrew MacLeod, that the sex crimes committed by the United Nations are “on the scale of the Catholic church—if not bigger”, The Sun reported. Macleod claimed UN staff could have carried out 60,000 rapes in the last decade and also estimated there are 3,300 pedophiles working for the world body’s various agencies alone.
The respected academic says there has been an “endemic” cover-up of the sickening crimes for two decades, with those who attempt to blow the whistle just getting fired. He told The Sun, “There are tens of thousands of aid workers around the world with pedophile tendencies, but if you wear a UNICEF T-shirt nobody will ask what you’re up to.” He claims this problem is endemic across the global aid industry.
The report from The Sun comes only some days after we published a speculative opinion piece pointing out that UNICEF could very possibly be a hive for child traffickers and such.
In addition to these claims, it has also surfaced that the disgraced former country director of Oxfam, Roland van Hauwermeiren, who admitted using prostitutes (some very likely underage) while working in Haiti, consulted for the United Nations’ Global Synthesis Report: Review of Protection and Sexual Exploitation and Abuse by UN, NGO, IOM and IFRC personnel (Roland van Hauwermeiren listed as consultant on page 123). Ironic? Doubly ironic is that the report is from the same year, 2010, that the allegations relating to Roland van Hauwermeiren were made.
The hypocrisy of these organizations is beyond belief.
