China: Communist Party may abandon birth restrictions as early as this year

CHINA – According to reports, China is planning to scrap all limits on the number of children a family can have. In 2015 China switched to a two-child policy from its brutal, decades-long one-child policy, but all restrictions on birth control could be lifted as early as this year.

The State Council in China has commissioned research to predict the outcomes of lifting all birth restrictions within the country, and a decision to give complete autonomy to families could be made by the end of this year, according to Bloomberg.

China’s birth control policies over the years have been notoriously wicked, complete with forced abortion and sterilization. When the Chinese Minister of Health, Gao Qiang, visited the U.S. in 2011, he proudly told a horrified group of U.S. Congressmen: “We have eliminated 400 million people from the population. We have eliminated more people than the entire population of the United States.”
